For many years now I have been a self confessed fabric fondler, with a serious passion for interiors. After studying Business & Events Management at university, I learnt the family business of soft furnishings, gaining hands on experience of the full process, from initial design to measuring up and even hand making many pairs of interlined curtains! My favourite part of the job was assisting clients on their fabric choices, and was lucky enough to work with some beautiful designs from Mulberry to Edinburgh Weavers. This really kick started my love for interiors, and I’ve been an avid Pinterest hoarder of dream room layouts ever since.
As stunning as the Highlands are, I missed the bright lights of the city. Edinburgh ticked all the boxes for art and culture, as well as opening up opportunities to complete part time textile courses, and even have my own little studio to explore my creative pursuits. My previous work has been varied, but via hotel reservations management to operations management for a food brand, I am now very excited to join the design team at Jeffreys Interiors.
My first week has been thoroughly enjoyable. Especially pawing my way through the extensive fabric and wallpaper library. I have found many new favourites, and look forward to sharing these with my future clients.
